Right now, players can get their hands on a free copy of Star Wars Battlefront II on PC. The 2017 shooter title based in the Star Wars universe is an excellent game for those looking for some shooter action, plus, it’s free, and who doesn’t like a freebie? So how do you get Battlefront 2 for free on PC? We’ll run you through the process here.
How to Get Battlefront 2 for Free on PC
The process is incredibly simple, especially if you’ve already got yourself an Epic Games Store account. That’s because Battlefront II is currently the free weekly game on offer from the PC digital storefront.
If you haven’t already, you’ll need to download the Epic Games Store launcher. Once you’ve done this, open the launcher, and create an account or sign in if you already have one.
After doing this, you should immediately be brought to the ‘Store’ page, but if you’re not, you can select it from the left-hand sidebar.
Scroll down the page a little bit and you’ll see a big ‘Free Games’ section. The first of the two games listed (and the only one you can currently download), is Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition.
Click on this and you’ll be taken to the game’s store page. Then it’s simply a case of selecting the ‘Get’ option on the right-hand side of the screen (where the ‘Owned’ button is on the image below) and complete the Checkout process.
Now navigate to your ‘Library’ from the option on the sidebar, select Battlefront 2 and click on ‘Install’ just underneath the game’s name. You can check the download’s progress from the ‘Downloads’ option in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
Keep in mind that the game is only free until Jan. 21 at 11:00am ET/ 8:00am PT. After that, it’ll rotate out and you’ll instead be able to get Galactic Civilizations III for free instead.
