Unlocking Ember Valley in Slime Rancher 2

Ember Valley is an area full of volcanoes and caves for you to explore in Slime Rancher 2. As well as lots of resources you can only find there like primordy oil. It’s also a great place to farm for radiant ore, so it makes sense that you may want to unlock this as soon as possible.

However, before you can set off, a pink gordo blocks the key to getting to this volcanic island. He’s towards the northern part of the Rainbow Fields, and we have him marked on this map below.

Since he’s a pink slime, you can feed the big guy 32 of any food you have (he isn’t picky), and once he explodes, ride the geyser he was on up to the ledge above. You can find plenty of carrots, hen hens, and pogofruit nearby, so don’t worry if you forgot to bring anything. Following along, you’ll find a switch that will lower the ruins in front of you and activate the portal to Ember Valley.

That’s all there is to finding the Ember Valley in Slime Rancher 2. Enjoy discovering everything you can in Ember Valley, if you need even more to find, make sure you also head to Starlight Strand. Stay tuned for more Slime Rancher 2 guides.
