How to Evolve Snorunt Into Froslass in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

There are more than a few evolutions in Gen IV that require special conditions beyond just increasing a Pokemon’s level, and the same can be said for the remakes. How to Evolve Snorunt Into Froslass

Use a Dawn Stone on a female Snorunt to evolve it into a Froslass. You can find this evolution stone item on Route 212 in the swamp near Pastoria City as a hidden item. This means that it’ll be one that appears to be an empty tile with nothing on it, but when you interact by pressing A, an item will be found. The Dowsing Machine Poketch app will help find any items that are hidden this way.

For your efforts, you’ll be able to change your Ice-Type Snorunt into an Ice/Ghost-Type Froslass that can come in handy later in the game, especially against Cynthia’s Garchomp if you don’t have a Weavile.

Where to Get More Dawn Stones

There’s also another Dawn Stone that can be found in the northern section of Route 225 if you have the Rock Climb HM. Use the HM to climb up a ledge and find the stone. A third stone can also be obtained in the southeast corner of Mt. Coronet if you use the Surf HM to cross a body of water.

That’s everything you need to know about how to evolve Snorunt into Froslass in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Be sure to check out our guide wiki on the game to find more tips, tricks, and other useful info if you’re looking for more pointers.
