To start emoting, it all begins with a menu wheel by tapping left on the d-pad. And, every playable character is able to do it. So with that in mind, let’s go step-by-step to figure out just how to emote.

  1. Select the Standing Silhouette at the top of the wheel.

  2. On the next wheel, select your emote image of choice.

  3. Confirm your choice with X/A.

    PlayStation: X
    Xbox: A

There are more emote options to unlock throughout the game] but on the surface, this is a fun little inclusion to a game that is typically dour in nature. It’s important to break up the dread and suffering with a little bit of levity from time to time.
