Guardians of the Galaxy: Can You Close the Fridge?

One of the most refreshing elements of Square Enix’s latest Marvel game is the extent to which it stays true to the tropes of the franchise. There are so many amusing dialog exchanges between its main characters that feel genuine to the comics and movie, and these are sometimes weaved into gameplay in clever ways. That includes frequent discussion over a certain kitchen appliance that mysteriously won’t stay shut. Here’s whether you can close the fridge in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Can You Close the Fridge in Guardians of the Galaxy? Answered

Throughout Guardians of the Galaxy, you’ll be reminded of the fridge in the kitchen area of the Milano that nobody can keep closed. It becomes a bit of a running joke amongst the crew, and you’ll no doubt attempt to close it yourself at some point.

As it turns out, you indeed can close the fridge by pressing triangle/y — just know it will always mysteriously open back up on its own. If you do it continuously, you’ll actually prompt a dialog exchange from Mantis who will comment on how much you enjoy closing the fridge in this timeline despite the fact that it’ll never stay closed.

So, what’s going on? Well, at the end of the game, it is revealed that Peter keeps it closed by propping the key to Knowhere against it. What a troll!

And that’s everything there is to know about if you can close the fridge in Guardians of the Galaxy. For more useful tips and guides on the game, be sure to check out Twinfinite’s extensive guide wiki.
