How to Heal in God of War

Recommended Videos

As it has been since its PlayStation 2 debut, the God of War series is extremely action focused. While the PS4 reboot certainly has a deeper story and different perspective, action is still at the forefront. Therefore, you’ll want to make sure that Kratos is at full health as much as possible as you play so that you can take on the harder enemies with ease. Thankfully, there’re a few ways to heal in God of War, and here’s what you need to know about them.

The main way of healing is by using the green health potions that are in the game. Most enemies drop them once you’ve defeated them, and you can find them around the game’s world by breaking the pots that you’ll see everywhere. To use any potions that you get, simply press circle.

There are two other ways that you can heal slightly. First, Rage Mode (which is activated by press L3 and R3 at the same time) regenerates health slightly while it’s active. Also, some Talismans can grant a short health boost in God of War. Potions are the best way to ensure you heal, however, since there’s no automatic regeneration exactly.

That’s all you need to know about how to heal in God of War. For more on the game, be sure to check out our wiki guide.
