What We Know So Far of a Gears of War 5 Release Date

During Microsoft’s E3 2018 conference, fans lost their minds when they found out that Gears of War 5 was officially on the way for the Xbox One. While we don’t have a whole bunch of information on what to expect from the latest entry in the grizzly third-person shooter series, one thing plenty of fans are desperate to know is what the release date is.

Currently, developer The Coalition has yet to reveal a release date for Gears of War 5 outside of the rather vague 2019 window. Considering the series’ stature as a blockbuster Xbox exclusive, we’d hazard a guess that Gears of War 5’s release date will come in the tail-end of the year. Y’know, in Fall, when just about every other video game hits stores shelves and dukes it out for your attention.

Of course, this is just speculation on our part, and with the opening few months of the year becoming equally as crowded in 2016 and 2017 respectively, there’s always the possibility Microsoft might kick 2019 off with a bang and an early Gears of War 5 release date. As soon as we know for sure, though, we’ll update this post and share the news with you.
