Fortnite Chapter 3 has finally arrived, and alongside its flipped map and a new rotation of weapons, there’s a whole host of new challenges to complete and cosmetics to earn. One of the new seasonal challenges tasks players to ‘Discover the Device’ in Fortnite but it doesn’t exactly tell you what it is or where you’re supposed to find it on this new map. Here’s everything you need to know to track it down and earn that 25,000 XP for doing so.
Where to Find the Device in Fortnite Chapter 3
The Device can be found in a building just northwest of Logjam Woodworks in the north of the map. We’ve marked its exact location on the map below.
Once you’ve arrived here, look out for a building that’s got a bridge linking the two together, and a wind turbine on one side of it. You want to head into the circular-shaped building.
On the ground floor here, you should now find two desks with red-screened computers on top of them. In between these on the floor is a small black and silver briefcase.
Interact with this briefcase and you’ll have discovered the device in Fortnite Chapter 3. A small clip of audio dialog will play out when you do so, and you’ll earn 25,000 XP for completing the first of these Seasonal challenges.
