Epic Games has just revealed a limited-run Fortnite crossover event with Avengers: Infinity War. As part of the upcoming event, players will be able to play as Thanos The Mad Titan, and don his iconic gauntlet. The “Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup” will bring 100 players together to battle it out for supremacy, only this time with something entirely new at their disposal: the Infinity Gauntlet. It’ll be dropped into a random location on the map for players to find, and will house all six Infinity Stones from the get-go. Of course, the chance of being Thanos is a pretty awesome prospect, and that’s got a lot of people wondering how to get the Infinity Gauntlet in Fortnite.

Finding the Infinity Gauntlet around the map will transform players into Thanos himself, and have access to his powers of destruction. It’ll be its own new mode entirely.

To get the Infinity Gauntlet, you’ll want to generally keep an eye out for the golden glow of any Epic item. From what we’ve seen the Infinity Gauntlet tends to just be dropped somewhere outside on the map, though we’ll update this post if we find out otherwise after playing a little more. Once you get it, you’ll transform into Thanos, who has 700 Health and a hefty shield to boot. He has an area of effect ground pound attack, a melee attack, and a constant beam of energy for picking players off at range.

Many fans had predicted that some sort of Avengers-themed content would be coming to Fortnite Battle Royale, given its focus on superheroes and the exact timing of Season 4 lining up nicely with Infinity War. Up until now, Fortnite has only featured its own original set of superhero characters, though there are obvious homages to the MCU peppered throughout the game’s new elements.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is the ever-popular battle royale shooter from Epic Games. It receives regular updates, adding in everything from new weapons to new dance moves and emotes. The game is no stranger to crossover content, with players able to don a John Wick-inspired skin and lay waste to their enemies.

And that’s all you need to know to get the Infinity Gauntlet in the crossover event game mode. For more on Fortnite, be sure to check out our wiki guide.
