How to Craft All Potions in Forager and What They Do

Recommended Videos

There are a variety of potions you can make in Forager, but figuring out how to get them can be a challenge. That’s why we’re here with a guide to help you learn how to craft all of the potions and what they do.

Available for crafting after obtaining a cauldron and a few key skills, potions grant you a variety of bonuses from healing yourself and boosting your stats to enhancing your attacks with elemental attributes.

Aside from helping you survive what the game’s world throws at you, these effects are also invaluable for keeping the gameplay fresh and exciting.

To get your hands on them though, you’ll have to jump through a few specific hoops; or more specifically, unlock some specific skills and gather some materials.

What Skills You Need to Craft Potions

In terms of skills, you’ll need three in particular to craft potions: The Alchemy skill, which allows you to build a cauldron; the Novice Potions skill, which lets you make basic potions; and the Expert Potions skill, which lets you make complex mixtures.

Each of these skills are easy enough to obtain. All you need to do is level up and obtain skill points. This can be done by battling enemies and otherwise advancing through Forager proper.

After you’ve done this, allocate the necessary skill points toward unlocking these skills.

How to Build a Cauldron

It’s worth noting, though, that you’ll need to unlock Alchemy first, then Novice Potions and then Expert Potions, as you’ll need the benefits of the previous skills to craft each subsequent skill’s potions.

For example: The Alchemy skill allows you to build a cauldron, which you’ll need to even craft potions. Even after you’re able to build it however, you’ll still need to actually construct it to get started.

Fortunately, it’s easy to obtain the necessary materials to build a cauldron. All you’ll need is four Flowers, eight Iron Ingots and 20 Bricks.

Flowers can be found in almost any Grass Biome. Meanwhile, Iron Ingots and Bricks can be crafted with two Iron Ore and a piece of Coal or two stones and a piece of coal respectively via a Furnace.

Once you have the required materials, you’ll be able to make the cauldron at your leisure.

What You Need to Make Each Potion and What They Do

From there, you can unlock the Novice Potions and Expert Potions skills in that order, and will be able to craft them freely. Or at least, you can once you have the necessary materials to make each of them.

This can lead to a fair bit of exploring for materials which, while fun in its own right, can also be frustrating if you don’t yet know a potion’s effects, or were aiming to make a potion you don’t yet have the skill needed to craft.

As such, we’ve included a list including each of Forager’s potions, the materials needed to craft them and their effects below.
