What Is Faculty Training in Fire Emblem Three Houses?

Similar to how Byleth is able to coach their students each week, focusing on specific skills to level up, the staff of Garreg Mach Monastery can help Byleth level up their own skills as well.

This can be done by talking to any of the other faculty members at the Monastery, and choosing which skill you want to improve. Do note that using the Faculty Training feature will take up one activity point.

To use this feature, simply talk to any of the staff members, choose the Faculty Training option from the menu, then choose the skill you want to improve.

  • Rhea: Sword, Brawl, Reason, Faith
  • Manuela: Sword, Faith, Flying
  • Hanneman: Bow, Reason, Riding

Once you enter the second act of the game, you’ll also be able to do Advanced Drills with your students, which function the same way as Faculty Training. The difference is, you can only undergo Advanced Drills if your student’s skill level is higher than Byleth’s. Teachers don’t have this restriction.
