The first thing you need to do is lower it to Aerith and press circle when prompted to offer her a ride.

Once she’s on, move it over to the ladder and above the ledge, not just by the ladder, and press circle to drop off her off there. Aerith will then lower the ladder so that you can climb up as Cloud.

First off, you need to lower the arm to grab the container, pressing X to do so.

You then need to line it up with the yellow space on the right, by the materia on the wooden walkway.

Then, go back to where the crate was initially and pick up Aerith by pressing circle. Then, drop her off on the crate where you moved it.

Aerith will then grab the materia and return to where the robot arm is. Press circle to offer her a lift and take her up to the top where the ladder is.

Part 3

The final part is the only one that should really give you any issues, and that is because it features two robot hands and two containers to move.

First things first, the console is at the top of the ladder and you might have already gone down it. If you have, head back up and press triangle to use it.

Once in control, grab the crate nearest the first hand and place it in the yellow space by the materia that’s near the tunnel.

Then, go back and grab Aerith and place her on the crate you just put down. She’ll then grab the materia and you can take her back to where she started.

Then, take the same crate and put it in the yellow space on the left, on the floor.

Then, switch to the second arm by pressing triangle and grab the second crate at the back of the area. Now, place it on top of the first container to make a higher platform.

Now, move Aerith to the top of that small stack of crates with the first arm.

Finally, use the second of the robot arms to grab Aerith once the first one is out of the way and take her over to where the second crate started, this will let her run over to the ladder and lower it for Cloud to climb up.
