In FIFA 20, heading doesn’t tend to be a very reliable way of scoring. Headers can go anywhere, so it is often best to keep the ball on the floor.
Also, since passes across the box and short range rebounds tend to be good ways of scoring, using a low cross can help you carve out a chance like that.
How to Do Low Cross in FIFA 20
There’s actually two different ways to do a low cross in the game. First is the traditional way where you need to triple tap the cross button (square on PS4, X on Xbox One, and Y on Switch) and direct the cross with the left thumb stick.
However, in recent years, that tactic hasn’t been the most useful.
Instead, you can use the driven pass as a low cross, which is more accurate and generally a more powerful pass.
To do that, all you need to do is hold R1 and press X if you’re on PS4 (RB and A on Xbox One and R and B on Switch) while directing it with the left thumbstick.
This will pass the ball along the ground where you aim it, but it’ll be a harder pass than if you were to just press X. Therefore, it is more likely to evade defenders than if you were to just try and pick out another attacker with a standard pass.
