For starters, it continues the YoRHa Dark Apocalypse Alliance raid story, it introduces the rework of the A Realm Reborn story, and also concludes the Shadowbringers arc with an exciting new Trial. Here’s how to unlock the Seat of Sacrifice Trial in FFXIV.
Unlocking the Seat of Sacrifice Trial in FFXIV
The Seat of Sacrifice is a new Trial introduced with patch 5.3 in Final Fantasy XIV, and also serves as the final obstacle you’ll have to overcome in the Shadowbringers arc. First things first, you need to have caught up with all of the main story quests up to this point, including the quests from the patches post-Shadowbringers.
This Trial is unlocked towards the very end of the patch 5.3 story and is mandatory for story completion so you don’t have to worry about missing it. However, it does of course have some item level requirements that you need to be aware of before jumping in.
For starters, you will of course need to have a combat job that’s at the level 80 cap.
In addition to that, this Trial has a minimum item level requirement of 465. If you’ve been keeping up with the story patches and turning in your tomestones for gear, you should be able to meet the requirement pretty comfortably. If not, do your daily Roulettes for tomestones, or grind the Copied Factory raid to get your level up.
It’s worth noting that after you’ve cleared this Trial, you can unlock the EX version as well.
Simply head back to the Crystarium and talk to the Minstreling Wanderer NPC at X:7.6, Y:12.5 to unlock it.
This Trial offers better loot you can exchange for gear, but has an item level requirement of 480. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart, and you’ll need a well-coordinated party to clear it.
That’s all you need to know about how to unlock the Seat of Sacrifice Trial in FFXIV. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
