Much like the Great Serpent of Ronka minion from Shadowbringers, the Starbird minion is quickly rising in popularity among players simply because of how cute and pretty it looks. The good news is, you can get it simply by playing through the MSQ. The bad news is, you do have to grind out a dungeon in order to get it.

Getting the Starbird Minion in FFXIV Endwalker

The Starbird minion is a drop from the level 90 dungeon The Dead Ends. This is a dungeon that you’ll unlock naturally simply by playing through the MSQ, and you’ll get to it towards the end of the story. Specifically, you’ll need to get to the level 90 quest titled Endwalker, and you’ll unlock the dungeon as part of the story.

After that, it’s simply a matter of playing through the dungeon repeatedly until the final chest drops the Starbird minion. At this point, you’ll need to roll Need on it, and hope that your score is higher than the other three players in your party. This can take quite a bit of time as it’s completely up to RNG, but at least the process of getting the minion itself is pretty straightforward.
