How to Redeem Preorder Bonus DLC in Far Cry 5

As is often the case with Ubisoft’s open world games, there’re multiple versions of Far Cry 5 for you to choose from. The Deluxe version includes some additional DLC that unlocks some weapons and other items from the start, while the Gold Edition includes all that DLC and a code for the Season Pass that will give you access to the expansions and Far Cry 3: Classic Edition when they become available. And then there’s the preorder bonus DLC, too. To make the most of the content, you’re going to want to redeem the codes you get before you start Far Cry 5. Here’s how you do so:

Firstly, redeem the preorder bonus DLC code as you usually would on your platform’s store. For example, if you’re playing on PlayStation 4, log into the store and scroll down the panel on the left until you get to ‘Redeem Code,’ type it in, then download. Once you’ve done so, head into Far Cry 5 and make your way through the game until you’ve completely liberated Dutch’s Island. Then, find a general store of some kind, often marked by a green gun symbol, and you’ll find all the preorder bonus DLC content there (minus everything that is releasing at a later date, like Far Cry 3: Classic Edition). You won’t need to buy it with anything, you’ll be able to equip it immediately, just scroll through the weapons and you’ll find your DLC at the bottom in most cases.
