How to Get Silver Bars & What They Do in Far Cry 5

Recommended Videos

Silver Bars are a bit of a strange one in Far Cry 5. This premium currency of sorts allows players to buy prestige weapons, vehicles, outfits, and skins from any of the stores in the game’s world. As such, getting your hands on them is likely going to be towards the top of your list. Problem is, they’re not the easiest thing to find. Well… kinda.

Silver Bars are the premium, ‘microtransaction’ currency in Far Cry 5, but they can also be found in-game themselves. If you’re not about that microtransaction life, Silver Bars can be found tucked away at every outpost in the game, as well as at some other random locations in Hope County. From our experience, they’re tucked away fairly well, but be sure to check every safe, nook, and cranny that you see and you’ll find Silver Bars eventually.

Originally, we had intended to share with you the locations that we’d found these precious bars in Far Cry 5. However, upon starting up a new game and going to check one ourselves, we noticed that they seem to drop random at different places about the map. If we spot any surefire locations for Silver Bars, though, we’ll be sure to let you know.

We’ve yet to find out the pricing of the microtransactions in Far Cry 5, but we’ll be sure to update this post as and when we find out more.
