Fallout 76 adds a lot of new materials that can only be found in the West Virginia Wasteland. Many of these resources revolve around mining, wish played a large role in the history of Appalachia. Here how to get Black Titanium in Fallout 76.

Black Titanium is one of the more valuable materials, as it can be used for a number of unique and rare items you’ll want to get your hands on.

The main use of Black Titanium in Fallout 76 revolves around Power Armor. This miscellaneous item is a key component for Excavator Power Armor, a late game piece of equipment that is vital to fighting higher level enemies.

Now that you know what it does, the next step is knowing where to locate it. There are a few different methods to find and farm this resource, but not all of them are obvious.

Ash Heap Miners and Gorge Junkyard

One of the easiest ways to get Black Titanium is to fight and kill the Mole Miners. These enemies can be found randomly throughout the map, but are easily located in the Ash Heap region near Welch.

When you defeat the Mole Miners, they’ll drop Miner Suit Scraps that give Black Titanium. If you stay in the Ash Heap region long enough, it won’t be long till you walk away with a ton of it.

Another easy way to quite literally produce Black Titanium is to claim Gorge Junkyard, a Workshop that specializes in creating Titanium. The extractor at this location produces around 20 Black Titanium per hour.

Keep in mind that Workshops do need to be claimed and defended though.

U-MINE-IT! Vending Machine

U-mine-it! Vending Machines are vending machines found spread throughout Appalachia. When you find these machines, you can search through them and find interesting items.

While it isn’t among its unique inventory, there are maps available for purchase that can lead you to spots where you can dig up materials, including Black Titanium. We were able to find one near The Rusty Pick.

Deathclaws

While this may be the most difficult option on the list, it is still an option. Any time you fight and defeat these terrifying beasts, they will drop random gear and around four to six pieces of Black Titanium.

Deathclaws can be found spread throughout West Virginia, but there are a few places to find them as well. The easiest place to find one is going to be on an island that is named after the creature.

Fallout 76

Deathclaw Island is located about halfway up the river that runs up the leftmost side of the map. It is just to the south of the Ferris Wheel, highlighted above.
