Dragon Ball Z Kakarot has some preorder bonus content for players who put their money down for the game ahead of time. As is always the case, the problem with this comes in figuring out how to redeem the DLC code itself, and then where to find your preorder bonus content in-game. Well, let us guide you through it.

All Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Preorder Bonuses

If you preorder any copy of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, you’ll receive the following:

  • An Additional Sub-Quest: “A Competitive Party with Friends”
  • Training: Early access to fight former Ginyu Force member Bonyu in the Training Room at Capsule Corporation.
  • ‘Smiling Ultra Mega Roast’ Cooking Item – Effects: Melee Atk + HP Increased)

For PS4 owners, if you preorder the digital copy from the PlayStation Store, you’ll be able to net yourself a theme. Pick up a copy from GameStop and you’ll get a figpin.

But we’re mainly here about the digital goodies above.

How to Redeem Preorder DLC Code

The first thing you’ll need to do is locate your bonus DLC code. This could either come in the box with the game, in an email from your chosen online retailer, or on a bit of till receipt if you went to a store.

With this in-hand, you’ll either want to go to the Xbox Store and select the ‘Use a Code’ option, or the PlayStation Store and select ‘Redeem Code.’

If you’re on Steam, your preorder DLC should have downloaded alongside the game automatically. This is also the case for Xbox One and PS4 players have preordered the game digitally. Be sure to check our preload and unlock times guide, too!

Enter the code as you see it and confirm your entry. You should now receive a confirmation message that you’ve redeemed your Dragon Ball Z Kakarot preorder DLC.

How to Find Your Preorder Bonus Content in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot

As the preorder DLC is made up of three distinctively different things, the way you’ll access each one is fairly different.

For the “A Competitive Party with Friends” sub-quest, you need to at least get past Chapter 3: Cell Saga Episode 2. You won’t be able to access it until this point. Once you do reach this point, it’s made apparent that you’re now able to start it.

For early access to Bonyu’s training, you’ll again need to make sure you’re past the same story point as the sub-quest above (Chapter 3: Cell Saga Episode 2).

The training menu can also be unlocked by progressing through the story, but upon reaching this point in the story, you’ll unlock access to the Bonyu Training mission at Capsule Corporation, so head right on over there.

Finally, for the cooking item, you should find this included in your inventory after completing the tutorial section of the game.

That’s everything you need to know on how to redeem preorder DLC in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot. You can head over to our wiki for more tips, tricks, and guides, or search for Twinfinite.
