How to Heal in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot

To cut right to it, you can heal in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot through one of two methods: By resting at campfires in the over-world, or by using recovery items from your inventory.

The first method can be achieved by looking out for trails of smoke leading up into the sky, and then tracing these smoke trails to their respective campfires.

Once at the campfire, press the Triangle button on PlayStation 4 or the Y button on the Xbox One to rest at the campfire, restoring your health to its maximum amount.

This can be done at any time when you’re in the over-world, and will always restore your health to 100 percent.

How to Use Healing Items Inside and Outside of Battle

The second way you can heal in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot is by using healing items from your inventory.

This can be done both inside and outside of battle, and while not every healing item can restore you to full health, it can be far more convenient than hoofing it back to a campfire every time you take damage.

To use a healing item from your inventory, press the Options button on PS4 or the Menu button on Xbox One. This will open the main menu, which you can open your inventory from by opening the Items tab.

Select and open the Items tab, and then move the cursor over the healing item you wish to use. Select it with the X Button on PS4 or A button on Xbox One, and you’ll then be able to use it to restore your health.

It’s worth noting, however, that you can assign healing items to a quick-select menu in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot for use in battle.
