PS4 Pro Patch – Doom Game

Recommended Videos

Towards the end of last year, Sony released its PS4 Pro. Fitted with a 1TB hard drive as standard, and with enough power to display games and stream media in 4K, as well as improve your PSVR experience, it is a powerhouse.

While this all sounds great, support for Sony’s new hardware is not universal. Developers can choose whether or not to make use of this extra juice, as well as how they make use of it. With Doom being one of 2016’s biggest surprises and most satisfying shooters, many PS4 owners will be wondering if it’s getting the Pro treatment. After all, that gore would look even better in a 4K resolution.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it will be. At least, Bethesda has yet to comment on whether or not Doom will get a Pro patch. Currently, the game will run the same on your Pro as it does on your normal system.

If this happens to change, we’ll be sure to keep you updated. However, for now, it’s just a case of waiting to see if Doom gets some PS4 Pro love.
