How to Beat Taniks – Destiny: The Dawning

Recommended Videos

Destiny’s The Dawning brings with it new emotes, rewards, and masks, but also an updated Shadow Thief Strike. While most of the mechanics of various battles remain the same, you’ll need to take a new approach to beating the boss, Taniks.

Proceed through the Shadow Thief strike as usual, fighting your way through the upscaled enemies and added SIVA clusters. Once you meet the boss fight, you’ll find that Taniks now goes invincible now and then, rather than warping away.

To beat Taniks, you’ll need some team coordination. This invincibility is accompanied by a number of SIVA clusters around the field and a warning on the bottom left of your screen. In a small amount of time, your team will need to destroy these clusters in order to deal a blow to Taniks. Spread out and take down as many of them as possible before time runs out.

Keep in mind that Fallen will continue pouring into the area as you fight, but if you keep them at bay, you should beat Taniks after a few rounds of this SIVA cluster destroying.
