Rainbow Medals – Destiny
Update: This week holds a bit of a shortcut to getting Rainbow Medals. You can read more about the trick here.
The new Destiny: The Dawning update has brought with it a ton of new features, one of which is the new strike scoring system. As part of this, players are now be able to earn medals as they push back the darkness and earn loot along the way. Guardians fulfilling bounties may find they need to obtain rainbow medals as one of their objectives. These are a little trickier to get than many of the basic medals you can obtain in the new strike scoring system. Here’s how to you get them.
Rainbow medals are obtained when you successfully get primary, secondary, and heavy medals back-to-back in very quick succession. For those unaware, each of those medals requires you to get a kill with your primary, secondary, and heavy weapons respectively. Upon doing so, you’ll then see the culmination of your colorful successive kills with your very own rainbow medal.
If you’re struggling to get rainbow medals, it may be that you’re not doing it fast enough. Keep trying and remember to cycle through weapons as quickly as possible in order to give yourself the best chance at getting them.
