How to Get Golden Chests in Destiny 2

Recommended Videos

Players of the original Destiny will most likely remember hunting down the five golden chests that were hidden on each planet. Their gear wasn’t necessarily great, but the completionist mindset that has birthed from RPGs took hold. Golden chests are back in Destiny 2, but they’re a bit different, and not so… hidden.

If you look at the map above, you’ll notice these white symbols that look like crosses. Those are Region Chests, which are the golden chests you can find on each planet. Simply head to the point on the map and look around and you should find them quite easily.

The best part is that Golden Chests seem to give some better loot in Destiny 2 than they did in the first game. You can get some decent blues, maybe a couple of legendaries, and some Tokens (which lead to even more legendaries). So you may want to take the time to seek them out when you’re just trying to pass a bit of time in Destiny 2. It’s well worth the effort. Plus, then you can really say you did 100% of what the game has to offer.
