Death Stranding: How to Get Otter Hood (Conan O’Brien)

There are a surprising number of special items you can find in Death Stranding, and many come with the added benefit of a celebrity cameo. They can be difficult to track down without some help though, so we’re here to walk you through how to get the Otter Hood in Death Stranding and, in the process, find Conan O’Brien.

Where to Find Conan O’Brien in Death Stranding

Conan O’Brien is known as the Wandering MC in the world of Death Stranding, and you’ll only be able to find him at the end of episode 3 and the start of episode 4, when you’re informed of the existence of a Cosplayer.

You’ll need to read your mail to learn about the Cosplayer, and you’ll then be able to take on the sewing kit delivery order at the Distribution Center South of Lake Knot City. Grab the order, and make your way down to the Cosplayer.

Getting the Otter Hood

Once you complete the delivery, the Cosplayer will introduce you to the Wandering MC, Conan O’Brien himself, who will then reward you with the useful Otter Hood.

While it looks a little silly, having the Otter Hood equipped makes you a much stronger swimmer and will allow you to recover easily if you happen to get swept away in the water. You’ll be able to use the analog stick to better adjust your positioning in the water, and using the triggers to paddle will also let you steer your way to safety quicker.
