In order to even have access to this item, you’ll need to naturally progress through the main story.
Once Sam reaches the Weather Station south of Lake Knot City, follow the main plot. To actually get the carrier, you’ll need to connect the station to the Chiral Network.
After connecting the station, Sam is given the level one blueprint for the floating carrier. To make it, you then need to go to a Chiral Printer.
What It Does
Unlocking the Floating Carrier is quite literally going to lift a weight off Sam’s shoulders in Death Stranding, as it’ll allow him to carry more.
With the added inventory space, Sam will be able to work more efficiently when carrying his items.
The floating carrier can also be upgraded with another blueprint by completing delivery jobs to the station and upgrading your connection to it.
