Earth Seeker – Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel

One of the new weapons in Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel will require you to fight three of the DLC’s tougher enemies. In order to get this you will want to unlock the Snowy Mountain Pass shortcut. Given that the main route will have you fighting through entire hordes of undead soldiers, using this hidden path will save you a lot of headaches.

In order to get the Earth Seeker you will want to cross the fallen tree after exiting the elevator and then head up the mountain. There will be a small side path that has a light drop down behind one of the large vikings. Either backstab him or try to land a few hits before knocking him off the edge. Do not jump off after him otherwise you are going to have one hell of a fight.

Instead, stay up on that ledge and use either magic or a bow to shoot both him and his friend wandering the open icy grounds. If you jump down the ground will begin to release shock waves, courtesy of another viking off by a cave entrance using magic. After you snipe both of the wander vikings drop down and bum rush the one near the cave on the left with the giant axe.

Get behind him and deliver a back stab before moving back out onto the open ground. Just take your time and dodge his magic attacks, using his slow wind up as a chance to lay on some damage. Once he is dead head into the cave he was guarding and pick up the Earth Seeker resting over a corpse. You can also just run past everyone, grab the Earth Seeker and just run away. This is a very powerful weapon so make sure to give a try against some of the undead soldiers wandering throughout the woods.
