How to Get Hope Fragments and What They Do in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair

Recommended Videos

Hope Fragments may not seem incredibly important in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and for the most part, they’re not. However, if you’re finding yourself struggling with the Class Trials, then purchasing some skills will definitely make things easier. And it just so happens that Hope Fragments are what you’re going to need to get skills.

To get Hope Fragments in Goodbye Despair, you’ll need to make sure that you speak to as many of the students as you can during the Free Time sections of the game. By talking with students in Free Time, you’ll further your relationships with them and they’ll tell you a little bit more about themselves. Not only are these conversations a neat way to get some insight into the psyche of your fellow students, but you’ll also be rewarded with one Hope Fragment at the end of each conversation. There’s a total of five Hope Fragments to get from each student in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, so be prepared to spend a lot of time talking to them and giving them presents.

Once you’ve got some Hope Fragments, you can spend them at the Monomi store in the Report Cards option of your e-handbook. Here, you’ll be able to buy 19 different skills which can all be used in the Class Trials. Make sure to pick the ones that will serve you best and address your weaknesses, that way, the trials should get that bit easier.

And that’s all there is to Hope Fragments in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. For more tips, guides, and information on the game, be sure to check back with Twinfinite.
