Tagging Enemies in Cyberpunk 2077

Like most modern video games these days, Cyberpunk 2077 gives you the ability to tag enemies whenever you’re looking to use stealth tactics to infiltrate dangerous or restricted areas. Even if you’re out in the open-world, you can also use the tagging system to mark enemies, and they’ll be visible on your screen even if you’re looking away.

To do this, enter scanner mode by holding the L1 or LB button, or the Tab button if you’re playing with keyboard and mouse. Aim at an enemy, then press the R3 button or the V key to tag them.

Now, the enemies should show up on your screen with a yellow indicator even if you’re not looking directly at them, and you’ll be able to keep track of where they are at all times.

We definitely recommend tagging enemies as often as you can, even if you’re not planning on being very stealthy. And even if you’re not able to get all of them, tagging as many as possible before engaging is still a pretty good idea in most cases, so make sure to do that with every mission or gig.

If you’re able to track your enemies’ positions at all times, your chances of survival will increase even if you’re caught in an all-out gunfight.

That’s all you need to know about how to tag enemies and guards in Cyberpunk 2077. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
