Clothing & Clothing Mods

As you explore Night City, you’ll discover Clothing Shops. These shops may have Clothing Mods which grant you all manner of different buffs when equipped.

One type of these Clothing Mods, called ‘Backpacker’ increases your Carry Capacity. The Uncommon version we found from a vendor in the opening hours increased carry capacity by 7, but we’re confident you’ll find rarer, better Clothing Mods that’ll increase it by even more.

Sometimes you’ll come across clothing items that will also grant an increase to your Carry Capacity. This will be noted just underneath the clothing’s ‘Armor’ score, much like the clothing mod shown above.

Pack Mule Perk

The easiest way to increase your carry capacity substantially in Cyberpunk 2077 is to get the ‘Pack Mule’ perk from the ‘Athletic’ tree under the ‘Body’ attribute.

This perk increases your carry capacity by 60 right off the bat, giving you a hefty amount of additional space in your inventory.

Improve Athletics

As you play through Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll increase many of your ‘Skills.’ Each of the game’s core attributes contains a number of these skills, which are increased by performing activities that require you to use that particular skillset.

By increasing your ‘Atheltics’ skill, you’ll be able to earn permanent bonuses to your maximum carry capacity. These upgrades come at the following levels, and offer varying degrees of carry capacity improvements which we’ve listed below.

  • Level 2 – Carry Capacity + 20
  • Level 6 – Carry Capacity + 40
  • Level 13 – Carry Capacity + 100

To increase your ‘Athletics’ skill, you’ll need to do things like sprinting around a lot, or ripping stationary turrets out of the ground.

Buy Titanium Bones Cyberware to Increase Carry Capacity in Cyberpunk 2077

Finally, by heading to a Ripperdoc, you can buy a Skeleton Cyberware upgrade called Titanium Bones.

The Titanium Bones Cyberware costs 1,000 Eurodollars and you’ll need to make sure you’ve got a free slot in the skeleton section of your Cyberware screen.

The Titanium Bones upgrade will increase your weight capacity by 20%, meaning when combined with the other methods we’ve listed above, you can increase your carry capacity substantially.
