Koij Igarashi’s back with another Metroidvania classic in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, a spiritual successor to the Castlevania game that was partly responsible for kicking off the entire genre. Just as in that classic game, players need to traverse a sprawling honeycomb of gothic hallways, churches, and towers to find different items that allow them to unlock new areas. Some are easier to find than others, though, so here’s how to get Orichalcum if you’re struggling.
How to Get Orichalcum & What It’s Used For in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night
And we certainly don’t hold it against you for struggling to find Orichalcum because it’s almost impossibly difficult to stumble across without knowing exactly where to find it and exactly which enemy you’ll need to take out.
As you might have guessed from that previous sentence, Orichalcum is an item drop from a specific enemy. The enemy type is called a G Axe Outsider, a large demon that wields a huge axe that it throws at you from range, and it’s found in the Glacial Tomb area of the map.
The G Axe Outsider’s axe throws can be deflected if you’ve got a Zangetsuto handy. Pressing forward, forward, square (PS4) as it throws its axe at you will deflect it back for 150 damage.
You can then get in and finish off the creature with a few more swipes of your sword.
Unfortunately, this is only part of the battle, though, as there’s no guarantee the G Axe Outsider will drop Orichalcum. In fact, there’s only a 2% chance the item is dropped, which means you’ll need to be very patient farming the item.
You’re probably looking at anywhere from 20-40 minutes of farming G Axe Outsiders until you’ll get Orichalcum as a drop. To boost your chances, be sure to upgrade your Luck stat and equip a Plunderer’s Ring if you have it.
That should be everything you need to know about how to get Orichalcum in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night. For more useful tips and guides on the game, be sure to search Twinfinite.
