Battlefield 1 has a brand new progression system that relies heavily on warbonds. Essentially, warbonds are the currency you will need to unlock new weapons, gear, grenades, and much more. To obtain warbonds, all you need to do is play the game and rank up your character. As you play the game, you will eventually level up and while you level up, the game will grant you a decent amount of warbonds as a reward. All you must do to actually unlock weapons is spend your warbonds on the gear and weapons you need to survive in the trenches of World War 1.
