Play as a Titan – Attack on Titan

Playing as a member of the Survey Corps. in Attack on Titan is indeed fun, but there’s just something about giving those towering monstrosities a taste of their own medicine that’s hard to resist. Thankfully, the game allows you to step into one of those odd naked bodies so you can wreak your own brand of havoc. To do so, you must first play through Attack Mode, the game’s campaign.

As you play through the story you’ll have the ability to use Eren’s titan form in select missions. Once you beat the fourth chapter of the story, which concludes where the first season of the anime left off, you’ll unlock a new ability for Eren – Transformation. This replaces his Decisive Battle Signal, so when you charge up the meter (by slaying titans and completing side missions) you’ll be able to turn into a Titan on command.

Although a bit large, it’s actually easy to control a Titan. Move with the left thumbstick and use X/A to dash or hold to jump. Square/X attacks with punches, while Triangle/Y does a grab attack. When your lower yellow meter is full (it’s located where your blade meter normally is) you can press Circle/B to use a powerful special attack.

You can exit this form prematurely by pressing R2/RT, and if you had more than half of your meter left you will be left with about a quarter. Subjugating Titans extends the transformation by a small amount of time, but completing side missions in this form can completely refill your meter, allowing you to continue your rampage.
