Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: What the Max Power Level Cap Is

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Rather than a typical leveling system in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, it’s changed things up a bit with a new ‘Power Level’ system. While this may sound a lot more like one of Destiny 2’s leveling systems, it actually doesn’t work anything like it. If you’re looking to make Eivor the strongest he/she can possibly be, though, then you might be wondering what the max power level cap in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is.

In AC Valhalla, the leveling system determines where you’ll be ‘safe’ to explore in your ventures across England. Some regions will have high power level recommendations, but these aren’t blocked off until you reach the recommended level.

Instead, you can enter these areas at a lower level, but you’ll barely deal damage to any enemies that you get into combat with. As such, you’ll want to avoid exploring these areas until you are powerful enough.

Max Power Level in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

At this moment in time, we know that the max power level in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is at least 340.

While we haven’t yet reached this level in our own playthrough, there are sections of the map of England that have a recommended power level of 340. Hamtunscire, for example, is one of these regions, so you’ll need to make sure you’ve leveled up appropriately before diving in.

Given power level progression is rather slow in Valhalla, it’s going to take you a pretty long time to reach a power level of even 340, let alone any higher if the game permits it.

Something that is worth noticing is that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla does have a trophy and achievement called ‘We’re in the End Game Now’ which requires you to reach power level 280. While we know it goes above this, at least you know roughly when the end game grind will begin.

Once we’re able to confirm the max power level in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.

How to Reach Max Power Level Cap Fast

  • Complete Quests
  • Visit Blue Orbs and Complete World Events & Mysteries
  • Synchronization Points
  • Take on More Powerful Enemies

If you’re wanting to level Eivor up the the most powerful she can be in the game, then you’ll want to mainly focus on completing main story missions. These grant you the largest amounts of XP as rewards.

Exploring the blue orbs on your map will also reveal World Events or Mysteries which, when completed, also grant a good chunk of XP.

Then you’ll want to focus on taking down tough enemies in high-level areas to earn more XP per kill. Discovering new locations also grants XP, but this is one of the more minor ways of earning XP and increasing your power level.
