Is ARK: Survival Evolved Coming to Nintendo Switch?
If you’ve ever wanted a game that puts your survival skills to the test in a world filled with dinosaurs then ARK: Survival Evolved is definitely what you’re looking for. Players find themselves stranded naked on a mysterious island and must hunt, harvest, craft, and build if they’ve got any chance of surviving. Of course, with dinosaurs lurking around the world, you’ll also have to consider whether you want to kill every creature you see, or tame, breed, and ride them to help you thrive in this world. With ARK: Survival Evolved due to finally exit early access and release as a full-fledged title next week, many players will be wondering if the game is coming to Nintendo Switch.
Unfortunately, according to a post over on ARK: Survival Evolved’s official forums back in February, the developer has no plans of bringing the game to the Switch. That doesn’t mean it’s all doom and gloom for Switch owners, though. The developer did note that “I will be closely watching how that console does in its launch.” While it’s by no means concrete confirmation of a Switch version, it does suggest there’s some interest in Nintendo’s portable/ home system hybrid.
If Studio Wildcard does happen to announce anything regarding a Nintendo Switch version of ARK: Survival Evolved, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
