The Ping system in Apex Legends is incredibly handy, players have the ability to highlight and notify their teammates of the locations of enemies, suggested places to move to on the map, or just pretty awesome weapons and ammo going spare.

To ping weapons and ammo in Apex Legends, all you need to do is look down at it and press the R1 button on PS4, RB on Xbox One, or clicking down on the mouse wheel on PC. 

It’s worth noting that you can only ping weapons and ammo in Apex Legends when the little bubble appears above the item itself, which includes the button or key you need to press to do so.

If you’re wanting to ping a location that you think your team should move towards, simply aim in that direction and press the same buttons again (R1, RB, and the middle mouse button). Alternatively, if you want to ping an enemy location in Apex Legends, simply double tap those buttons.
