How to Ping Weapons & Ammo in Apex Legends
With Apex Legends forcing players into teams of three, whether you’re playing with friends or with strangers, communication is key. Of course, not everyone has a headset they can use, so being able to point out weapons or ammo to teammates can be incredibly helpful. Here’s how to ping weapons and ammo in Apex Legends.
The Ping system in Apex Legends is incredibly handy, players have the ability to highlight and notify their teammates of the locations of enemies, suggested places to move to on the map, or just pretty awesome weapons and ammo going spare.
To ping weapons and ammo in Apex Legends, all you need to do is look down at it and press the R1 button on PS4, RB on Xbox One, or clicking down on the mouse wheel on PC.
It’s worth noting that you can only ping weapons and ammo in Apex Legends when the little bubble appears above the item itself, which includes the button or key you need to press to do so.
If you’re wanting to ping a location that you think your team should move towards, simply aim in that direction and press the same buttons again (R1, RB, and the middle mouse button). Alternatively, if you want to ping an enemy location in Apex Legends, simply double tap those buttons.
Alternatively, you can bring up the Ping wheel. This enables you to select from a variety of callouts that may be helpful to your team. To do this, simply press and hold R1 or RB, and then use the right analog stick to select the callout you want to make before releasing the button again.
That’s pretty much everything you need to know to ping weapons, ammo, and locations in Apex Legends. For more tips, tricks, and guides on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite. Alternatively, check out our handy wiki widget down below for a complete list of all our guides on the game.
