FIFA 22 20 hours early access

How to Get 20 Hours of FIFA 22 Early Access via EA Play Trial

Earlier this week, FIFA 22’s early access period went live on EA Play. That means for all subscribers to the service — and those who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate — you can now play your platform’s version of the game for 10 hours as part of a trial period. However, it turns out that it is possible to get access to the FIFA 22 trial for 20 hours, if you know what you’re doing.

It’s worth pointing out that this handy little workaround is only available to those players who have a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. That’s because the 20 hours comes from downloading both the PS5/Xbox Series X|S version and the PS4/Xbox One version of the game onto your system.

Thanks to the latest systems’ backwards compatibility options, you’ll then be able to simply load up the last-gen versions of the game, play those for 10 hours, and then load up the PS5/Xbox Series X|S versions of the game and play for another 10 hours. 10 + 10 = 20 hours of early access in FIFA 22. Winner winner, indeed, it’s a chicken dinner.

We’ve downloaded both versions to confirm that this works, and indeed it does. This is particularly handy for those looking to get an additional head-start in FIFA 22’s Ultimate Team mode, as your team will carry over between both versions of the game.

Your Career Mode and Pro Clubs saved data, unfortunately, doesn’t appear to carry over between the two versions, but given you’re likely pouring most of your time into Ultimate Team, the fact that this transfers between the two is a bit of a silver lining.

And there you have it, 20 hours of FIFA 22 early access!

We’d also recommend using the Web & Companion Apps to complete SBCs and dabble in the transfer market, to make sure you’re getting the most out of the EA Play trial.
