EA Sports is just weeks away from releasing the latest entry in its long-running soccer series. This FIFA 22 Early Access guide will talk you through everything you need to know to get a head-start in the Ultimate Team game mode and play the game for the first time.
Playing FIFA 22 Early Access – Release Time
FIFA 22’s Early Access period will begin today for EA Play subscribers.
EA Play subscribers will be able to play a 10-hour trial of FIFA 22 on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 10am PT/ 1pm ET/ 6pm BST.
If you’re an EA Play Pro subscriber on PC, you’ll have unlimited access to the full game as of Sept. 22, also.
FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition pre-order players will also get early access to the game starting from Monday, Sept. 27, four days ahead of the game’s official release.
How to Sign Up to EA Play
Both PlayStation and Xbox players can subscribe to EA Play. Simply click here, and select the ‘Monthly’ option. Currently, you can subscribe for just 79p in the UK or $0.99 for US players as part of a special 1 Month Discount Offer.
This can also be accessed from both the Microsoft and PlayStation Stores directly from your consoles.
Remember, if you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, you automatically have an EA Play subscription as part of this.
How to Download FIFA 22 Early Access on EA Play
Once you’ve signed up to EA Play, you’ll need to head into the specific EA Play app on Xbox and PlayStation from the release time and download the FIFA 22 Early Access game.
This will begin the download of the full game. Keep in mind this will likely be upwards of 30GB, so make sure you’ve got enough free space on your hard drive.
If you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, the FIFA 22 Early Access game should be made available via the Game Pass app. If it’s not, access it via the EA Play app as outlined above.
All FIFA 22 Early Access Exclusive Content
For playing during the Early Access period, players will unlock the following content:
- Untradeable 80-84 OVR Player Pick and a 10-game loan Team of the Week (TOTW) player earned by completing special Early Access Objectives.
- Team of the Week #1 with boosted items highlighting the best performing players from the previous week’s fixtures. The first featured TOTW Items of FUT 22 will also be included.
- Limited-time Early Access Live FUT Friendly where you can compete for pack rewards.
Additionally, there will also be an exclusive OTW SBC, only available during Early Access.
FUT Web & Mobile App
The FUT Web & Mobile companion app for FIFA 22 will go live on Wednesday, Sept. 22, and Thursday, Sept. 22 respectively. These are likely to go live at 10am PT/ 1pm ET/ 6pm BST, like FIFA 22 early access.
