Yoshi’s New Island Headed to 3DS in 2014

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced the sequel to the ever-popular Yoshi’s Island during today’s Nintendo Direct Presentation, aptly named Yoshi’s New Island.

Yoshi’s New Island will feature many of the artistic considerations that fans of the series have come to love. Egg flinging and backgrounds that look like they’re hand-drawn are only a few of the things you can expect from this new installment in the Yoshi’s Island series. Yoshi’s New Island is slated for release on the Nintendo 3DS sometime in spring 2014.
