Worms Battlegrounds Incoming For PS4 And Xbox One

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

The British indie publisher, Team17, has announced that they are bringing their award-winning Worms franchise to next-gen consoles this year. Worms games have been released on more than twenty-five consoles since the original game was debuted in 1995. For those unfamiliar with Worms, the turn-based game has two teams of three (worms, obviously) battling each other on fully destructible environments using conventional and strange weapons including shotguns, bazookas, sheep bombs, and fireballs. Friendships have been shattered quicker than the time it takes for an air strike to knock your worm into a watery grave, and I can’t wait to see what new features Worms Battlegrounds will have with all the power next-gen consoles offer.
