Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will, as we all assumed, include Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception and bring them all to PlayStation 4. Sony were even kind enough to put up this announcement trailer too.

Sony announced that The Nathan Drake Collection will be released October 7th in Europe, unfortunately you guys stateside will have to wait two days more until October 9th to get your hands on it. It was also revealed that anyone who buys Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will get access to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta later this year, but did not give us any idea exactly when the multiplayer beta will be live. Three guesses when they might tell us that!

The Nathan Drake Collection, while containing the single-player campaigns of the three existing Uncharted titles, will not include their multiplayer modes. At least we get some Uncharted multiplayer fun in the form of the beta.

The remaster of the trilogy will be made by Bluepoint Games, the studio responsible for ICO and Shadow of the Colossus: The Collection, as well as the God of War Collection. Sounds like everyone’s beloved Uncharted series will be in safe hands with Bluepoint.

Bluepoint are currently working hard on bringing the three campaigns to the PlayStation 4 with 1080p resolution and 60fps, with better lighting, textures and models. The PlayStation blog post also details that there will be improvements and additions made to the games, however no further details on these were listed. At least we’ll get a fresh set of trophies to grab.

The final announcement made by Sony with regards to Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, was the reveal of a pre-order bonus. If you pre-order the collection, you will receive the Nathan Drake pack which includes single player skins of iconic Drake outfits as well as a couple of fan favourite weapons such as: the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS. Oh and good news for you digital shoppers, if you pre-order the digital download through the PlayStation Store, you will get the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection PlayStation 4 dynamic theme.

Will you be picking up the Uncharted collection come October? Let us know in the comments below.
