In this Episode of Game Mechanic, I take some time to talk to you about controllers and, more specifically, how they stack up against each other. It took me a long time to sort this list out. After all, every controller has it’s ups and downs and comparing them is almost like comparing apples and oranges. Almost.

This list is ordered based off of two factors. First, how well the controller was designed at the time of its release. Second, how much influence it’s had on shaping games, future controllers, and the industry in general. After much deliberation, I’ve decided on the Top 9 Video Game Controllers Of All Time.
