CD Projekt RED will be releasing a day one patch for the highly anticipated The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt which is due to launch tomorrow. The patch will help to resolve some bugs and issues that have been noted in review copies of the game.
Not only will the patch help stabilize the game, but it will also prepare the game for DLC, which will come in the form of sixteen bundles of DLC and will be totally free to anyone who bought a copy of The Witcher 3.
The details of the patch are:
Major changes:
- Support for DLCs
- Multiple stability issues fixed
- Overall performance improvements
Quests and game:
- Variety of cosmetic quest improvements
- Journal objective fixes
- Quest mapping fixes
- Dialogue flag fixes
- Quest balancing issues
- Scene triggering improvements
Gameplay systems:
- Boat behaviour
- AI improvements
- NPC spawn strategy improvements
- Combat balancing
- UI optimizations
The patch for the PlayStation 4 version of the game will be 482MB in size whilst the Xbox One patch will be 588MB. The patch for the Xbox One version of the game will also help the game switch from 1080p to 900p depending on how much the game demands at any one moment. The PlayStation 4 version will run at 1080p throughout.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is due to be released tomorrow, on May 19th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
