During Sony’s E3 conference, Andrew House from Sony Computer Entertainment had a few words to say about Sony’y virtual reality investment, Project Morpheus.
Project Morpheus is designed for the Playstation 4. According to House, developers are moving from the drawing board into an all-encompassing 360 degree virtual reality experience.
As opposed to other virtual reality and augmented reality devices that seem to be focusing on single-player content, Son’y Project Morpheus intends to focus upon realizing the connections between friends and family and the importance of playing together.
House asked gamers to imagine an immersive experience in which not only you, but also your friends are fully immersed in a virtual world, traveling and progressing together throughout a game’s world and story.
He then mentioned how Project Morpheus will also be taking Esports into account and content will be designed with that specifically in mind.
We’re still left with many questions about virtual reality and Sony’s Project Morpheus but at least this is a start.
