Skylanders BattleCast will be a free-to-play game for the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore in 2016. Anyone looking to improve their deck will be able to buy cards both in retail stores and digitally. Players will be able to use their  physical cards in the game by scanning up to two of them using their mobile device which will allow the characters to be interacted with.

According to Gamespot, Skylanders BattleCast will include a single-player mode although it hasn’t be revealed as to what the single-player will feature yet. The game will also allow users to battle their friends as well as other players online.
