Sony’s game streaming service, PlayStation Now, is making its way to the PlayStation 3 users on May 12th with over 100 games available from launch.
Over 100 PlayStation 3 games are currently available to stream on the service, however Sony have announced that several other titles will be made available following the release including: Fat Princess, F1 2014, Sanctum 2, Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce, and Farming Simulator.
PlayStation Now is currently available in an open beta on all major PlayStation systems and will soon be rolled out to Samsung TVs and Sony Blu-Ray Players in an attempt to bring gaming to those living rooms without a Sony games console.
A PlayStation blog post gives more details including the ability to play your games across devices with the PlayStation Now service available due to cloud save functionality. The blog also reveals that gamers will be able to activate a free 7-day trial as of today in order to see what they think of the service, and hopefully bring in more subscribers for Sony’s new service.
The service will be having more games added to it monthly so there will be always a new and relevant library of games. Fingers crossed we’ll see some of the latest games roll out on the service not long after their release date.
The subscription service currently costs $20 for a one-month subscription or $45 for three meaning the service will offer better value for money the longer your subscription, not dissimilar to Sony’s PlayStation Plus subscription.
