If you haven’t watched the newest Persona 5 trailer that was released in the wee morning hours yesterday, then you need to do yourself a favor and go and watch it right now. It’s beautiful, majestic even. Our associate editor Z was nice enough to break down some of the most important scenes from the trailer so we can maybe sniff out something related to the plot; while senior writer Claudia Lorenzo collected some of the best Persona 5 fan theories and reactions that have surfaced on Twitter.
Despite all this though, we unfortunately still don’t have a firm release date. Persona 5, before it was delayed to include a PS4 version, was originally slated for a 2014 release on the PS3. So it might be safe to assume that if it was almost ready to roll for 2014, that we should be able to see a release in 2015 right? Hopefully that assumption includes a North American release too. Let’s not also forget about Persona 4: Dancing All Night which is also due out this year. Between that and all of the recent Persona related releases such as Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Persona 4 Golden, the franchise seems to really making an effort to steal the JRPG spotlight.
