Octodad: Dadliest Catch has just about made the rounds on the next gen consoles since its release on PC back at the start of last year, and now everyone’s favourite cephalopod father has netted his Xbox One debut date.
Octodad: Dadliest Catch is coming to Xbox One on August 26. For any of you quick minded folk out there, that’s exactly one week from today. Huzzah! The game is due to be releasing for $14.99 and include the previously announced free DLC, titled Octodad Shorts, when it is released.
Octodad Shorts will be two standalone Octodad levels, each with their own stories. Can’t complain at more weirdly controlled, manic gameplay for free.
The upcoming game Octodad: Dadliest Catch is the sequel to the unsurprisingly named, Octodad game released back in 2010 as a freeware PC game. May saw the release of the crazy undercover father figure onto the PlayStation Vita, with it having joined the releases of the game on PlayStation 4, PC, Mac and Linux. The Wii U version of the game is complete and is now going through the certification process. Once that’s done, then the team will be announcing the release date for Octodad on Nintendo’s latest home console.
