No Microsoft Showing Up at TGS This Year

Not surprising, but still a bit disappointing.

If you were expecting Microsoft to make an appearance at the Tokyo Game Show this year, you’re going to be disappointed. Microsoft Japan’s Masayuki Inoue confirmed this in a statement:

“2015 will continue to provide an attractive game line-up, exclusive titles included. This year, Microsoft will not exhibit the Tokyo Game Show, but we’re making various preparations to deliver the latest Xbox news to fans and media. We will provide an update as soon as we can.”

This isn’t entirely unexpected. The Xbox hasn’t really sold all that well in Japan, so eventually Microsoft was going to end up just not showing their stuff to Japanese audiences. It’s possible that they’ll have their own event for Japan in the future, but those are slim odds.

What do you think about Microsoft not showing up at TGS? Let us know in the comments below.
