The qualifiers themselves will be running from 10 am to 7 pm local time, with registration for the event beginning at 9 am. If you’re looking to enter you better get there early, as only 750 players will be allowed to participate. Registration for the qualifiers will be on a first come, first served basis.

Those who are accepted to participate in the qualifiers will compete by playing Ultimate NES Remix on the 3DS; with winners being those who attained the highest scores in Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, and Dr. Mario.

The winner from each of the qualifiers will then move on to the finals at E3 on June 14th in Los Angeles where they will finally prove who is the very best, like no one ever was.

The participating Best Buy locations are as follows:

  • 1717 Harrison St.
    San Francisco, CA
  • 3675 Pacific Coast Highway
    Torrance, CA
  • 10760 NW 17th St.
